span class="large"This Step 4 is the critical one! br/br/Here I’ve fused all the prior open Layers together and then converted them to a black and white (Bamp;W) image using Silver Efx Pro. This utterly brilliant Photoshop plugin allows me to add grit and graininess to the Bamp;W as well as an important vignette. br/br/The addition of a vignette allows me to control the viewer’s area of focus by darkening the periphery of the image - it’s an old process but effective none-the-less./spanbr/span class="large" /spanbr/span class="large"Now, having made the Bamp;W I blend it with the underlying Layers using the Luminosity Blend Mode at 91%. Suddenly the image pops into life and the story I was looking for is has a "language"./span
