Using the Nik Photoshop plugins, HDR Efex Pro 2, I've made some single-image HDR images you can see below.
I've also added in some steps of my own, like calming down some the super-saturated colours and colour toning the images- but boy am I impressed!
The sunlight, whilst taking these photos, was really strong which creates deep dark shadows, but HDR Efex Pro 2 is able to pull out the colours in the shadows and really make the images pop. It's a lot easier to use than the Photoshop version and the results are more pleasing.
I am not mad about the halo-effect in the skies - but hey, the pictures make me smile!
