I am delighted to announce that the highly talented, multi-award winning photographer and image manipulator, Brian Beaney FRPS, will be running our inaugural Photo MAESTRO Course that starts on 11 October 2013. Brian has been at the leading edge of exploring what can be done after an image is shot for over 10 years and his practice revolves around the "telling the story" of an image. His website is here.

Warehouse Express, (one of the best and punctual camera resellers in the UK), have asked me to run two evening events at their showroom in Norwich. The first, on Tuesday 12 March 2013, is called Editing with Ease and I'll be showing why the Wacom tablet and pen plus Photoshop make the perfect partners. And the second, on Tuesday 16 April 2013, will be a Guide to Lightroom 4.0 when I'll be going over the ins and outs of this amazing piece of software. After running an advert on the Dronne Valley Network (similar to the 7 Sep 2012 entry below), we've been so completely overwhelmed with the response that we've decided to run 2 one-day Workshops rather than 1 two-day workshop. Regrettably we've had to turn away lots of folk, but we will be doing more Workshops early in 2013 and for those that emailed us direct, we will keep you informed as to the new dates.

Prior to the opening Studio Lavalette, we’re holding a number of FREE Photo Weekend Workshops with the emphasis on how to take and make the best possible photographs. Just bring your digital camera, card, battery and laptop if you have one.
Details of the first Weekend Workshop are as follows:
Where: 4 Venelle des Ursulines, Villebois-Lavalette, 16320
(enter the gates opposite the entrance to the Médiathèque and just walk up the garden)
When: Sat 10 and Sun 11 November 2012.
Times*: Start at 10:00am; break at 13:00 for a two-course lunch; re-start at 14:00; end at 16:00.
* for both the Saturday and the Sunday. And “yes”, the Workshop and the lunch are totally FREE!
Numbers will be limited to 4 clients on a first-come-first-served-basis, so if you'd like to get lucky, please write to: admin@studiolavalette.com - we’ll then arrange the finer details.
